My name is Kate Moss. I am a California native, relocating to
Arizona in 1991. I knew I wanted to be a Preschool Teacher after
hearing Bev Bos speak my senior year in high school. She has since
become one of my mentors. I have an education background in
Liberal Studies and Early Childhood Development. My previous work
experience includes time spent in the Hotel and Resort Industry in
Human Resources.

I found SUMC P & K when my husband and I were looking for a
preschool for our oldest child. Since then, we had two other
children that have attended SUMC P & K. As a parent, I have
participated in nine different classrooms over six years. I knew
SUMC P & K would be great for my child, I did not know it would make
me a better parent!

I became a teacher at SUMC P &K in 2004. I strive to provide a
hands on learning environment to support my belief that children
learn by doing. Self reliance skills and social emotional
development are the cornerstones of my classroom. Mix in some messy
art projects, letters of the week, science experiments and cooking
creations and we have one great time!

My hobbies include adventures with my husband Bill, three very
active children, and two crazy dogs either to the beach, or up to
northern Arizona. We are also huge NASCAR fans!
