Hello Everbody, So Glad to See You! Welcome to Scottsdale United Methodist Church Preschool's music page! Mrs. Rachel Velarde brings singing, dancing, playing instruments, and most of all fun to our students in her weekly music class, Music Together. Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. About Rachel Velarde: Internationally known Lyric Mezzo-Soprano Rachel Velarde began her music career at the Indiana University School of Music in the Indiana University Children’s Choir (under the direction of Mary Goetze & Jean Sinor) and the Indiana University Young Pianists’ Program.
